Initializing root folders to display – Outlook 2007

I worked with a user today who reported long load times when attempting to browse her hard drive to attach a file to an e-mail.  The error message below was being generated.

Problem:

Initializing the root folders to display.

Solution:

Un-map any disconnected network drives.
